Welcome to GUS
Dinner should not begin with another search session.
GUS started with a simple problem: people often have food at home but still do not know what to cook.
The usual solution is to open a recipe app, search the web, scroll through dozens of options, realize you are missing ingredients, and start over. That is not really a cooking problem. It is a decision problem.
Start with what you have
GUS is built around the kitchen you already have. Take a photo of your fridge, pantry, groceries, or ingredients and let GUS turn that into a few realistic dish ideas.
Not another giant recipe database
The goal is not to give you hundreds of recipes. The goal is to help you decide what to cook next.
GUS is intentionally simple: show what you have, get a few ideas, pick one, and cook.
Why camera-first?
Because typing ingredient lists is work. A photo is faster, especially when you are tired, hungry, or just trying to use what is already in the fridge.
What comes next
This blog will cover everyday cooking decisions, ingredient-first meals, reducing food waste, and product updates as GUS evolves.
